HOW TO FIND THE LAB
GETTING HERE
LAB-44 is located on the Hembrug site (Hembrugterrein) in Zaandam, on the North Sea Canal opposite Amsterdam. By car, take the A8 or drive from Zaandam to the site. By bike, come via the Hempont ferry.
Middenweg 44, 1505 RK Zaandam
FROM THE A8 (EXIT S118)
Head towards Zaandam and carry on to the large junction.
Cross the bridge and turn left at the traffic lights (S152) towards the Hempont.
At the roundabout, turn left towards the Hembrug site (Artillerieweg).
After about 300 metres, turn right (Grote Hulzen).
Then turn left onto the Middenweg.
After about 300 metres, bear left and follow the Middenweg (P7).
After about 150 metres you will arrive at LAB-44.
FROM ZAANDAM
Follow the S152 towards Amsterdam.
At the large junction with the S150, go straight on towards the Hempont.
At the roundabout, turn left towards the Hembrug site (Artillerieweg).
After about 300 metres, turn right (Grote Hulzen).
Then turn left onto the Middenweg.
After about 300 metres, bear left and follow the Middenweg (P7).
After about 150 metres you will arrive at LAB-44.
PARKING
Park for free in car park P7 on the Middenweg, close to the LAB-44 entrance. There are more car parks on the site, see the P on the map.
BY BIKE
From Amsterdam, cycle across the North Sea Canal via the Hempont ferry. From the ferry, follow the Hemkade and the Middenweg to LAB-44.
Please note: by car, LAB‑44 cannot be reached via the Havenstraat. Follow the S150 or S152 to the Hembrug site.
